Eradication of (GBV)
Fishers Union Organization (FUO) has played a crucial role in the eradication of gender-based violence (GBV) in Buchosa District, where such incidents unfortunately prevail. Recognizing the severity of the issue, FUO has actively collaborated with FOIPOR Tanzania to address the widespread occurrence of GBV, ranging from physical abuse suffered by women to instances of rape against adolescent girls and young women. Through various initiatives and concerted efforts, FUO has worked towards raising awareness, implementing preventive measures, and providing support to victims. By taking a comprehensive approach to combat GBV, FUO contributes not only to the well-being of individual families but also makes a meaningful impact on the broader societal fabric of Buchosa District, promoting a safer and more secure environment for all.
